Hello,
An oral irritator is a tool used to clean your mouth with. It is mostly used to clean interdental spaces and other hard to reach areas such as the sulcus (area below the gum line), back molars, partially erupted wisdom teeth, etc.
An oral irrigator uses a stream of pulsating water to remove plaque and food debris. It is particularly indicated for those who suffer from gum problems, such as bleeding gums or any other type of periodontal disease. It is also recommended for those who use braces, as flossing can be very difficult when there are metal bits all over your teeth.
Certain types of oral irrigators are also good for cleaning the tonsils and removing tonsil stones, but it is very important to use a very low pressure setting to prevent damage to delicate structures on or around the tonsil area. There are oral irrigators which do not have pressure settings, so these are not appropriate for cleaning the tonsils.

I used to suffer from really bad gingivitis and oral irrigation really helped reduce its severity, and after a few weeks, my gum problem was totally gone.
On the other hand, I still use oral irrigation regularly, to prevent problems, and because I find it really effective at removing all sorts of debris, even after flossing!
I hope this helps!
