Hi and welcome to the forums!
I too suffer from chronic digestion problems which I keep at bay with probiotics. I have never tried digestive enzymes but I know they can be helpful. I tend not to eat pasta and stick to rice-based dishes so that I don't get bloated.
Bad breath that does not go away even when oral hygiene is excellent can be due to many different conditions, diseases or infections. The most likely source is the mouth itself, the tonsils, followed by the nose and sinuses and finally, system diseases or other conditions, such as chronic problems related to the stomach.
Halitosis originating from the stomach or other parts of the digestive system is however quite rare (in the sense that, statistically, it accounts for less than 2% of cases according to most sources). Nevertheless, certain problems with digestion, such as yours, can indeed cause chronic bad breath.
I am glad to hear you found a way to cure your bad breath. It is important to find the source of the problem and you did! Well done :-)
